People need to take their time and also take their vehicle out and get a feel for the snow. If you are an under confident driver or an over confident driver you are putting everyone else at risk. We should really know at this point that we need to have a healthy respect for the snow but not fear it if you’re afraid stay off the roads please.

Next you should take your car out in the snow head to an empty parking lot that hasn’t been plowed and get a feel for how your vehicle responds depending on what you do with throttle, break, turning etc. This is a safe way to get a feel for how to drive your car in the snow. The best and safest thing you can do for yourself and everyone else this winter (other than having the proper equipment, tires etc.) is being able to fully understand your car and control it.

To all the trucks that slid off the road yesterday and I saw 3 if you slow down to 30 instead of trying to do 50 it wouldn’t have happened, being in a truck doesn’t mean you don’t need to drive differently when the snowfalls.

We contacted 5 companies and got varied results, one company met everything we wanted in the hiring process Bishop Windows and Doors. They showed up exactly when they said they would (5 min early). They discussed the project, provided a time for when we would get the quote, we received the quote exactly at the time they said. The quote contained everything we wanted the right number of windows, the build outs for the windows and everything. The price was the most affordable.

So we hired them and paid the deposit. They told us the date that the windows would be in and they actually had them one day earlier. They told us they would do the work the following week starting on Thursday completing Friday end of day. Well it’s Friday and they already have the work completed and they did an excellent job.

We have perfect fitting high quality windows (made here in New Brunswick). The guys working were completely professional they talked with my family members while they worked, joked around with my children. They cleaned up after themselves didn’t leave any tools or mess laying around anywhere in the house or the property when they went home Thursday night. Another small but impressive thing is not one person in my family heard a single bad word from any of these workers throughout the entire project.

As soon as someone likes your page it shows it to everyone of their friends they have on Facebook and if they really like you and post on their wall they start generating even more free advertising for you. Now I’m a Facebook user and some business use it right they put up contests, information, and respond to inquiries by their Facebook friends. The thing I am really tired of is businesses thinking they can just spit out a contest say like us on Facebook and then just constantly spit their products and deals out at you and never correspond with anything that gets posted on the wall but what they wrote.

I think Facebookers should be un-liking all of the businesses who don’t take the time to engage them. They are already spitting their products out by email, website, and any other method they can. However if your posting questions and trying to talk to them and no responses from the company just the community then they are not showing they care about their customers at all.

What does this show you, well one company is engaging their customers, talking to them and doing what is right. The other company is just spitting out more of it’s same ol same ol buy our product we are so great. Businesses need to start treating Social Media, as just that Social it’s not a one way communication tool and if that is how your going to treat it your not getting the real value out of it. As for those customers you can easily teach them a quick lesson just un-like their page they will quickly run another contest to get you back as they look at it as what it is a LOSS. Maybe then they will realize what it is they are doing wrong…neglecting their customers and Facebook friends.
