If I told you that you were being ripped off everytime you went to the movies just from not reviewing your options would you believe me?
If you go to empire theatres and use the electronic kiosk to purchase your tickets and your treats you are throwing away money and losing out for no reason. This technology was designed to make it easier to purchase everything at once but is the consumer getting the best deal?
I took these photo’s on Sunday Aug 1st
Look at combo 1 – $11.29
Walk 20 feet to the counter and look at combo #1
$9.99
So using the technology instead of the person working at the counter actually costs you more money, and now that you can buy your tickets from the person should we even use the kiosks??
What a great game tonight for the Saint John Sea Dogs, both teams played extremely well and it was more fun to watch them play than most NHL games lately.
In the first period the PEI Rockets took a 1 nothing lead, to the dismay of the fans, most people thinking will this be like the last time these two teams met where the Rockets down the Sea Dogs? End of the first period the Shots On Goal were 13 – 11 Seadogs, with some spectacular saves from Rockets Goalie 33 Marco Cousineau.
Throughout the entire game 33 Cousineau Goaltender for PEI Rockets played awesome, making unbelievable saves which I really felt should have earned him third star.
Second Period the Sea Dogs tied the game up early with a goal from 27 Mike Hoffman, right after there was a breakaway with a great deke, but 33 Cousineau shut him down. A few minutes later the gloves were dropped with two players circling each other but the refs jumped on both of them landing coincidental 2 min penalties and ending the fight before it started.
The rockets rallied and game down with great passing play and netting another goal putting them up 2-1 over our Sea Dogs. Next 27 Hoffman breaks around the defense with them hot on his tail he fends them off putting it around 33 Cousineau with a beautiful deke, tying up the game 2-2. Closing out the second period with Shots on Goal 29-19 for the Sea Dogs.
The Third period was all about the Sea Dogs and their precise passing and sheer grit to keep on pounding on the goalie, not to mention lots of great hits thrown out. 97 Stanislav Galiev picked up the next goal putting us in the lead for the first time 3-2. 10 Michael Kirkpatrick followed suit a couple of minutes later giving us a 4-2 lead.
Later in the period there was some nice hits laid out and one by our Sea Dogs injured and removed 24 Brandon Street (PEI Rockets) from the game.
Final goal and one of the nicest I’ve seen in a long time was a short handed goal by 16 Steven Anthony putting it top hand corner and netting the final goal of the game at 5-2 for the Sea Dogs. Final Shots on Goal was 46 – 27 for the Sea Dogs. These were all very good quality shots which was really impressive to see and the goalie for the Rockets did an amazing job but our Sea Dogs were just that much better.
