On The MX Way project that I recently finished working on www.themxway.com. They were looking for a way to have images zoom up to a larger size while, on a static website. After looking around at a few options light box was the best solution for the job and the great thing about this tool is it’s widely incorporated into dynamic systems such as wordpress but also can be used on static HTML websites.
